TOY for Gary

Today I created a TOY card (TOY stands for Thinking Of You) for my friend in Arizona. We haven't met yet, but have emailed back and forth and have lengthy phone conversations. Thank goodness for free long distance.

I used a magnolia tilda as my peek a boo character in side my "O" and a stampendous thinking of you. I used my cuttlebug to emboss 1/2 of my card, added the printed paper and Christmas ribbon that is actually blue and silver. I also used my cuttlebug swiss dots to add some spunk to the TOY letters. All in all, I really like this card. I have an upcoming CB Card swap and might just use this as a pattern for that, but with more feminine colors and paper. I am thinking something floral.

My work so far.

So far I have completed 2 card swaps and 2 image swaps and a RAK challenge. I have sent out 10 wish RAK's and have received 2 back with more on the way according to the postal forum. I have really had alot of fun.

The first swap I did was for images, I used a dog and cat from rubber stampede.

The first card swap was for "Naughty but Nice" - Christmas Card, we were suppose to do something a bit twisted or off color. I don't think I did such a good job of getting the twisted part, but I liked the card in general.

Next was a card for the swap "Non Traditional Colors of Christmas"

Next up was the RAK challenge wher eyou make a card and send it to someone on the list, hope she liked it. The rules were to use the color orange and to send to someone with the name of your favorite ghost, goblin, witch, etc. You get the idea. I choose my favorite witch show, Sabrina the teenage witch.

My first Blog

After checking out splitcoaststampers.com and finding that almost everyone there has a blog, thought I would check it out. Not that I am really all that big into following other people.. but.

Anyways, hopefully I will get the hang of this soon.
