This swap is being hosted by my sister, she loves the colors of the desert here in AZ and thought it would be cool to see what people would come up with using Cream, Tan and Brown and another other color they like. I totally cased this design. I used 4 different cuttlebug plates and I just really like the way it frames the card. I used mustard and rust cause I do see those colors here as well. This is definately a masculine card. The inside reads "I think I will hold on to you!"

Orange Swap
This card is for the orange swap. I used a fun little whippersnapper mouse and my nestibilities to cute the scallops and circles. I used copics to color with. The happy birthday slides into the pocket and then can be pulled out to see. I just really like how this one turned out.. do I say that alot?? Probably, but its true.

Navy Swap
I did this card for the Navy swap, I just loved this stamp set, it is from stampendous clear stamps. I was able to use my Stampin' UP! certain celery 1/4" ribbon and ink to pull out the lt. green that was in the designer paper. Did you know that the price per yard on the Stampin' UP! 1/4" grosgrain ribbon is less than 35 cents per yard? I know, I was amazed and its such nice quality. If you would like some of this fab ribbon, just go ahead an click the website above to my Stampin' UP! site to see all the beautiful 1/4" ribbon in great colors.

Pet Swap - #3 Cat
This is the third and final spot I took for the Pet swap on splitcoaststampers.com. I just love my kitty, she is great, her name is Emma and on the forum I told her story and will be getting a prize coming back with my swaps. While Emma is a tortie kitty and is mostly black with some orange spots here and there, I still love this little stamp. I think this card turned out fabulous. I tried to match the yellow in the butterfly paper and found it was a perfect match for Stampin' Up's Apricot Appeal paper and ribbon and luckily, I had both on hand. If you like those colors, you can order some for yourself on my website above. Thanks for checkin out my Cat card.

Pet Swap - #2 Dog
This is the card I did for my second spot on the Pet swap, I totally love this card. I used newspaper as my designer background paper and then I was fortunate to barrow a paw stamp to do the other background paper. This is a whippersnapper stamp. I just pretty much love anything whippersnapper does. Hope you like him!

Up to Lately!!
Hi all,
I have been a busy girl lately, just learning how to work 40 hours a week and still have time for housework, other obligations, going to the gym (which I haven't this whole last week), Checking blogs (which I totally need to do) and even sleeping has been a major change for me. I really miss NOT working but at least its some sort of income. (You know a girl needs her stamp habit!)
Going forward, some of you may have heard that I am part of Relay for Life (donations gladly accepted) and am currently doing a swap to get cards to sell, but on top of this, my sister and I are also creating some other stuff. I am going to be doing some prima altered bottles, some post it note covers, some decorated candles as well as some homemade pillowcases and fleece blankets. I am also going to try to do a keychain using stamps, I saw this on splitcoast and thought.. cool, not sure If I can do it, but will try. I will be posting pictures of those as I finish, but in order to do this, I will have to postpone all participation in swaps. I only have soooo much time for crafting.. unfortunately.
So thats what I have been up to lately, thanks for your patience as I haven't posted in some time, but I did set up some scheduled postings, so check back soon!

P.S. Don't forget that if you need stampin up stuff, I am your girl :)

Something for Sissy
I made this card for my sister just to say that I love her and appreciate her. It's suppose to be her bird Nikki, he is an african grey. However, as our dad pointed out, Nikki's feet and beak is grey not orange. Sis said she didn't care, she loved it anyways. I liked this layout so well that I also used this same card layout and style, just changed the feet and beak to grey, for the Bird Swap that Vivian is hosting on Splitcoast.

Pet Swap = #1 of 3
I joined a pet swap for 3 spots since we have 3 differnt types of pets here at the house. We have the kitty, mentioned previously, the dog "addy" she is a jack russell terrier and she is just so A.D.D. hence her name and we have parrots. So my first card is for our parrots. I went to a stamp show and found this awesome feather paper, it has gold running through it, although you probably can't see it, it's there. I really like how this card came out and am hoping the kitty and the dog cards come out as well. By the way, the bird is a High Hopes Stamp and the words "be merry" are from Stampin' UP! set "Warm Words" (of course available to order.. just click above). Thanks for stopping by!!

Split Negative Swap
Another swap I belong to is the split negative technique swap. I do really like the color combination. Unfortunately me and the embossing ink, powder and gun don't get along to well. I recently purchased a Stampin' UP! embossing buddy, I am told they work miracles, that and some good embossing ink like versa mark (both by the way can be purchased in the above link) should do the trick next time I am heat embossing. I think the major problem here is the static.. major static, we even call the cat, "static kitty" cause she shocks you all the time. I hope you like it.

Red and ? Swap
My sister is hosting a red swap so I am participating. I used some cute paper I found at the "local" scrapbooking store. "Local" about 45 min away with limited product. Anyways, while there a while ago I found the cute dragonfly eyelets and knew I wanted them for this swap. I used the cute skunk from the Stampin' UP! set Pun Fun (which of course you could use the link above and order if you like). I do think it turned out fabulous if I say so myself.

Thank You Card!
As some of you may know, my dad spent about 2 weeks in hospital. One of the things he wanted to do was thank all the nurses and aide's for being so kind to him and he asked me to make him a card. Here it is. Its actual a 5 1/2 x 8 1/2 card in order to get all the names in there. I thought it was cute.

It's 5 O'clock Somewhere Swap
Here is the card for the 5 O'clock Somewhere swap. I love peach or mango martini's and I just love this little stamp... get swanky. Although my martini's usually come with a cherry not an olive, but the olive made for a good color combo. I cased the card from one I got in a swap I hostess, Alex was the gal's name, I did a bit more but the layout is similar.

Princess Emma
Ok, just had to share. My dad has been hounding me to put a bed in my craft room as a guest bed. I finally did, however, in the process, Emma, our beloved tortie, decided to make the bed her own, first by riding on the top of it as it was taken into the room, then doing the febreeze commercial on the mattress and last but not least taking over the bed. Today I found her snuggled between the pillows all nice and toasty. Crazy Puddin'

Western Swap
This is for a western themed swap I am in, I just love this cow and all the cute saying I have to use for him. I used memento Rich Cocoa ink to stamp in and colored him with copics. Cuttlebug Paislys in the back ground and some great paper with the tan and blue paislies really make this one jump out at you. I sometimes sure wish I didn't like cutzy stuff so much. Hope you like him. Oh I also made two extra for our relay for life booth.

Mother's Day Swap for A Cause
Hi All,
I thought I would let you all know that on SCS I am hosting a Card swap for Mother's Day Cards.
It's a 3 +1, This means you make 4 cards and one generally goes to the hostess of the swap. This time around 3 will go back to the person swapping but the one will be headed to some local women's shelters so that the underprivilaged kids will have something beautiful to give to their mom's to show their love.
So if you don't belong to SCS, join, its easy... and if you are already a member, think about joining my card swap. http://www.splitcoaststampers.com/forums/showthread.php?t=412518

Twilight Inspired Card Swap
Ok, I loved the Twilight Series of Books on Tape, just need to get #4. Saw the movie 2 times... so far, can't wait for it to come out on video. So of course when I saw a swap for an inspired card I jumped at it.
I was a little disappointed in my picture, it really doesn't do it justice at all. Edward (the male figure) has some stickles on him to make his skin sparkle and the background tree's looked much better in real life. I pulled a quote from the movie and inside the card read's "Feel Better Soon".
I really liked how this turned out.
Here's a picture to compare to..hehe

SU In Color Pocket Card Swap
For this swap we were to use the new SU "In Color" cardstock and some type of pocket card. I am not to sure I really like the outter pocket, but I do like the card itself and how the dragon peeks out. This one took me a long time to do.. I was like.. oh man am I done yet.
CuttleBug Swap
You have seen this layout before, but I thought it was puuurrrrrfect for this swap. We were to use our cuttlebug folders in some way. I used the cuttlebug for the background and for the T,O, and Y. It's very simple but I really like it and here are some of my favorite colors as well, purple and green.

Creative Area Up and Running!! Woo Hoo
Hi All,
I finally got my creative area/space situated and organized and have been creating for some swaps that are due at the end of next week. I am so glad to be back and things are settling in here in our new home in Golden Valley AZ.
Just wanted to give a heads up to keep a look out for a special swap I will be hosting in February for Mother's Day.
Here are the cards I have made the last few days.
This one is for a Happy Birthday Swap.
This one is for the Love Is In The Air Swap - it looks a bit familiar to a whippersnapper card but its perfect for Valentine's Day.
This is for the Valentine's Day Swap. Not a very traditional card as my sister said, perfect for a good girl friend who is single looking for her prince. The inside says "You have to kiss a lot of Toads before you find your handsome Prince!!"
